AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the owners thereof certain real property
in St. Louis, Missouri, for the purpose of right-of-way along the
River des Peres,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2590, adopted May 22, 1974,
declared the necessity of the acquisition of such property for
flood control purposes, and
WHEREAS, the purchase price of said property is Five
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00), with an additional
Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) to be paid by the
purchaser for the seller's relocation benefits,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to
purchase from the owners thereof, the following real property in
St. Louis, Missouri, for the purpose of right-of-way along the
River des Peres, at a price not to exceed Thirteen Thousand
Dollars ($13,000.00), said property to be free of all
encumbrances, said property described as follows:
Part of Lots 10, 11, and 12 of KARLESKIND'S SUBDIVISION situated
in C. B. 3283, the plat of which is recorded in Plat Book No.
4, Pages 37 and 38 of the St. Louis County Records. Known
and numbered 101 Nellie Avenue. Title to govern.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owner of a Warranty Deed in proper form, being free from
liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to said owner, for the said land, the total sum of
Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($13,000.00). The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 1974.
