AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or
drainage facilities of the District and the Mississippi River
Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than
one-half of the land area therein praying for annexation to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River
Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict and can drain
all of its sanitary sewage into existing sewers within the
District and such Subdistrict, that the interests of sanitation
and public health of the District will be promoted by including
the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict
can efficiently serve the area described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 32 of Ballas Meadows
Addition, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 75, Page
44 of the St. Louis County Records, which point of beginning
is also the southwest corner of said subdivision and a point
on the boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
as annexed by Ordinance No. 260, adopted February 12, 1959:
thence northwardly along the western boundary of said
subdivision to the northwest corner thereof; thence
eastwardly along the northern boundary of said subdivision,
to the northeast corner thereof, which corner is also the
northwest corner of Ballas Meadows, a subdivision of St.
Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 63, Page 27 of the St. Louis County
Records; thence continuing eastwardly along the northern
boundary of said Ballas Meadows Subdivision to its
intersection with the existing boundary line of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence southwardly
along said existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to its intersection with the southern
boundary of said Ballas Meadows Subdivision, which is also
the northeast corner of that area annexed by aforesaid
Ordinance No. 260; thence westwardly along the southern
boundary of said Ballas Meadows Subdivision and the southern
boundary of aforesaid Ballas Meadows Addition Subdivision,
which is also a part of the boundary of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District as annexed by aforesaid Ordinance No.
260, to the point of beginning.

Section Two. That the petitions praying for
annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land
in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of the
area to be served.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River
Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above-
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the
Secretary of State.
