AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the owners thereof certain real property
in St. Louis County, Missouri, for the purpose of right-of-way in
the project known as Loretta-Joplin Extensions (S-743),
WHEREAS, the easement required through said property,
which is an unimproved residential lot, would include the greater
part of the lot, thus rendering improvements thereon impractical,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to
purchase from the owners thereof, the following real property in
St. Louis County, Missouri, for the purpose of right-of-way in the
project known as Loretta-Joplin Extensions (S-743), at a price not
to exceed One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($1,800.00), said
property to be free of all encumbrances, said property described
as follows:
Lot 22 of Block 1 of John F. McDermott's Meadowbrook a subdivision
in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owner of a Warranty Deed in proper form, being free from
liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to said owner, for the said land, the total sum of
One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($1,800.00). The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 28, 1974.
