AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the owners thereof certain real property
in St. Louis County, Missouri, for Open-Space Purposes pursuant to
Title VII of the Housing Act of 1961, as amended, of the United
States of America,
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1333, adopted March 16, 1973,
authorized execution of a contract with the Department of Housing
and Urban Development, United States of America, wherein the
District undertook said Open-Space program; and
WHEREAS, the purchase price of a certain parcel of
property to be acquired by the District for Open-Space Purposes is
One Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars
($156,780.00), approximately fifty percent (50%) of which is to be
reimbursed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development,
United States of America,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to
purchase from the owners thereof, the following real property in
St. Louis County, Missouri, for Open-Space Purposes, at a price
not to exceed One Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty
Dollars ($156,780.00), said property to be free of all
encumbrances, said property described as follows:
A tract of land in Lots 13, 14, 30 and 31 of Carondelet
Commons, South of River des Peres, St. Louis County,
Missouri, and containing 29.86 acres more or less (Legal
description to be governed by Title Certificate and/or
Survey).
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owners of a Warranty Deed in proper form, being free from
liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby authorized and
directed to pay said owners, for said land, the total sum of One
Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars
($156,780.00).
