HomeMy Public PortalAbout02738 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2738 AN ORDINANCE appropriating Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000.00) from the General Fund of the District, of which Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten percent (10%) share; Three Hundred Thirty- seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($337,500.00) is expected to be received from the Environmental Protection Agency, and Sixty- seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($67,500.00) is expected to be received from the Clean Water Commission for the cost of engineering contracts for the design of sanitary interceptor sewers and appurtenances and a treatment plant or treatment plants to serve areas tributary to the Meramec River in accordance with the East-West Gateway Coordinating Council Phase I Water Pollution Control Study, St. Louis County; WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the District will receive a seventy-five percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States Government to pay seventy- five percent (75%) of the cost of said contracts, and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the District will receive a fifteen percent (15%) grant from the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said contracts, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the District to pay ten percent (10%) of the cost of engineering contracts for the design of sanitary interceptor sewers and appurtenances and a treatment plant or treatment plants to serve areas tributary to the Meramec River in accordance with the East- West Gateway Coordinating Council Phase I Water Pollution Control Study, St. Louis County. Section Two. The anticipated grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States Government is expected to amount to Three Hundred Thirty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($337,500.00) which, when received, will be deposited in the District's General Fund, and is to pay seventy- five percent (75%) of the cost of engineering contracts for the design of sanitary interceptors and appurtenances and a treatment plant or treatment plants to serve areas tributary to the Meramec River in accordance with the East-West Gateway Coordinating Council Phase I Water Pollution Control Study, St. Louis County, and said anticipated amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of said contracts. Section Three. The anticipated grant from the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri is expected to amount to Sixty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($67,500.00) which, when received, will be deposited in the District's General Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of engineering contracts for the design of sanitary interceptors and appurtenances and a treatment plant or treatment plants to serve areas tributary to the Meramec River in accordance with the East-West Gateway 3 Coordinating Council Phase I Water Pollution Control Study, St. Louis County, and said anticipated amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of said contracts. Section Four. This Ordinance, being an appropriation Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 29, 1975.
