AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the owners thereof certain real property
in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, for the expansion of the
Secondary Treatment Facilities for the Bissell Point Sewage
Treatment Plant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to
purchase from the owners thereof, the following real property in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri, for the expansion of Secondary
Treatment Facilities for the Bissell Point Sewage Treatment Plant,
at a price not to exceed Twenty-four Thousand Eight Hundred
Dollars ($24,800.00), said property to be free of all
encumbrances, said property described as follows:
Two tracts of land in Block 2503 of the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, being all of lots 13-18, inclusive, and the
southern parts of lots 7-12, inclusive, and 19-24, inclusive,
all in Block 4 of Buschman's Addition, a subdivision as per
plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 7, Page 81, City of St.
Louis, Missouri Recorder's office, altogether being more
particularly described as follows: beginning at the
southeast corner of said Block 2503, being at the southeast
corner of said lot 13; thence westerly along the northern
line of Penrose St., 300' to the southwest corner of said
block; thence northeasterly in a straight line, 421'∀ to the
northeast corner of said block; thence southerly along the
eastern line of said Block 2503, a distance of 295.46' to the
beginning; EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion of the 20' wide
east-west alley in said block embraced therein; and
containing 41,319 sq. ft. exclusive of said alley.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owners of a Warranty Deed in proper form, being free from
liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby authorized and
directed to pay said owners, for said land, the total sum of
Twenty-four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($24,800.00). The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 23, 1975.
