HomeMy Public PortalAbout02927 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2927 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at a point in the centerline of U.S. Highway No. 67, 150 feet wide, distant 650.00 feet north of the northern line of Parker Road, 50 feet wide, measured at right angles thereto which point is also a point on the boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District as extended by Ordinance No. 1553, adopted November 10, 1966; thence generally, westwardly and northwardly along the existing District boundary as extended by said Ordinance No. 1553 to a point, which point is the northernmost corner of Lot 2080, Paddock Forest Plat No. 2, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 120, Pages 18, 19 and 20 of the St. Louis County Records, which point is also a point on the existing District boundary as extended by Ordinance No. 2304, adopted June 8, 1972; thence eastwardly along the southern line of a private road as described in instrument recorded in Book 1887, Page 241 of the St. Louis County Records, and thence continuing eastwardly along the eastward prolongation of said southern line of said private road to its intersection with the centerline of Lewis and Clark Boulevard (also known as U.S. Highway No. 67); thence southwardly along said centerline of Lewis and Clark Boulevard to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the majority of the owners who own more than one- half of the land in said area. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area 3 proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above- described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 24, 1975.
