AN ORDINANCE appropriating Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($300,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of
River des Peres to be used for the construction of storm sewers
in Subdistrict No. 366 - University City Branch of River des
Peres (Mendell - Section II), RDP-UC-6, in the city of University
City, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the City of University City, Missouri has
contributed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) toward the costs
of said project, said money has been deposited in the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University
City Branch of River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the City of University City, Missouri has
agreed to contribute an additional Sixty-six Thousand Dollars
($66,000.00) toward the costs of said project; upon the receipt
of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to
the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
the University City Branch of River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the Citizens Bank of University City has agreed
to contribute Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) toward the costs
of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source,
said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of
River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute
One Hundred Six Thousand Dollars ($106,000.00) toward the cost of
said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source,
said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of
River des Peres, and
WHEREAS, the Executive Director is hereby authorized to
issue the notice to proceed to the contractor,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the University
City Branch of River des Peres to be used for the construction of
storm sewers in Subdistrict No. 366 - University City Branch of
River des Peres (Mendell - Section II), RDP-UC-6, in the City of
University City, Missouri.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 11, 1976.
