AN ORDINANCE making a supplemental appropriation of One
Hundred Ninety-one Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($191,800.00)
from the Maline Creek Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund to be used for additional costs in the
construction of sanitary interceptor sewers in the project known
as New Halls Ferry & I-270 Sanitary Interceptor, in St. Louis
County, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the contract price for said project was
increased because of necessary alignment changes, unusual soil
conditions, and unstable soil pockets, and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency, United
States of America, has agreed to contribute fifty-five percent
(55%) toward the costs of such improvement; upon the receipt of
such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the
Maline Creek Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Missouri Clean Water Commission has agreed
to contribute twenty-five percent (25%) toward the costs of such
improvement; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said
money will be returned to the Maline Creek Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Ninety-one
Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($191,800.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Maline Creek Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund as a supplemental appropriation to
be used to pay for additional costs of constructing sanitary
interceptor sewers in the project known as New Halls Ferry & I-270
Sanitary Interceptor, in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The anticipated payments, together with
an interest earned shall be paid into the Maline Creek Operation,
Maintenance and Construction of Improvement Fund named in Section
One, as received.
Section Three. This Ordinance, being an appropriation
Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 14, 1976.
