HomeMy Public PortalAbout03151 O R D I N A N C E NO. 3151 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Sugar Creek Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or drainage facilities of the District and the Sugar Creek Subdistrict; and WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area, who own more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Sugar Creek Subdistrict; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Sugar Creek Subdistrict, and that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the southerly city limits line of the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, and the northwestward prolongation of the northeast line of Interstate Industrial Park a subdivision of St. Louis 2 County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 132, Page 7, of the St. Louis County Records, which point of intersection is also a point on the original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence southeastwardly along said northwestward prolongation and along said northeast line, of said subdivision and along its southeastward prolongation to its intersection with the southeast line of Rudder Road, 40 feet wide; thence southwestwardly along the southeast line of said Rudder Road to its intersection with the north line of Interstate Highway 44; thence westwardly along the north line of said Interstate Highway 44 to its intersection with the southwest line of said Interstate Industrial Park Subdivision; thence northwestwardly along said southwest line and its northwestward prolongation to its intersection with the southerly city limits line of the City of Kirkwood, which point of intersection is a point on the original District boundary, thence northeastwardly along said original District boundary, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of the area to be served. 3 Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Sugar Creek Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 27, 1976.
