HomeMy Public PortalAbout03307 O R D I N A N C E NO. 3307 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive Director to compensate, in the aggregate amount of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), those employees in the Classified Service of the District in Pay Grade 17 and above who worked extraordinary hours during the recent strike emergency by manning Coldwater Creek Treatment Plant on the basis of 24 hours per day. WHEREAS, the strike of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District employees normally manning the Coldwater Creek Treatment Plant of the District, which extended from the period July 27, 1977 through July 31, 1977, made it imperative that non-striking supervisory personnel in higher classified positions continue operation of the plants and pump stations on a 24-hour per day basis, and WHEREAS, the limited number of such personnel made it necessary that those employees work extended hours throughout the strike period, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to provide, in the aggregate amount Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), compensation at the normal rate of pay for each of the employees in the Classified Service of the District in Pay Grade 17 and above, who performed services at the Coldwater Creek Treatment Plant for more than his normal workday, during the period July 27, 1977 through July 31, 1977. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 10, 1977.
