AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with the firm of Havens and
Emerson, Consulting Engineers, for engineering services required
to prepare a comprehensive solids, management plan for all of the
ash, grit and screenings and other residual solids generated by
the wastewater treatment facilities within the District.
WHEREAS, the District requires specialized consulting
assistance in the preparation of said plan,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer be and they are hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with the firm of Havens and Emerson, Consulting
Engineers, for engineering services required to prepare a
comprehensive solids management plan for all of the ash, grit and
screenings and other residual solids generated by the wastewater
treatment facilities within the District.
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of
this ordinance shall provide for a total fee not to exceed the
amount of Four Hundred Ninety-one Thousand Dollars ($491,000.00)
and such other terms and conditions as are approved by the General
Counsel of the District.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 28, 1977.
