AN ORDINANCE awarding contracts to the Reliance
Insurance Group (Associated Underwriters, Agent) for the
District's Employee Faithful Performance Blanket Bond from October
1, 1977, to October 1, 1980 and to St. Paul Insurance Co.
(Alexander and Alexander, Agent) for Faithful Performance Bond for
the Secretary-Treasurer for such period, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Reliance Insurance Group and the St.
Paul Insurance Co., who respectively submitted the lowest
responsive bids for the District's Employee Faithful Performance
Blanket Bond at and for a premium of Three Thousand Two Hundred
Eight Dollars ($3,208.00), and for the Faithful Performance Bond
for the Secretary-Treasurer at and for a premium of Nine Hundred
Seventy-two Dollars ($972.00), which bids were received and opened
on September 23, 1977 at 11:00 A.M., at the District's offices by
the Secretary-Treasurer, for such three year policy period from
October 1, 1977 to October 1, 1980, are hereby awarded the
contracts for such Fidelity Performance Bonds.
Section Two. This ordinance being for the award of
contracts for Faithful Performance Bonds for the District's
employees in general and for the Secretary-Treasurer and thus
being necessary for the protection of the public welfare,
constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan, and this
ordinance shall be and become effective upon its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 28, 1977.
