COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, OCTOBER 16, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
The City Council “Pre-Meeting” of October 16, 2017, was convened at 5:46 P.M. by
Mayor Carrie Tergin.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schreiber, and Ward
Arrived Late: Wiseman (arrived at 5:53 p.m.)
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Addition to Agenda – Mayor Tergin stated that Human Resources Director Gail Strope
would provide an update on the Human Relations Commission under Item 7. Planning &
Protective Services Director Sonny Sanders stated he would be adding two items under
Item 8.
Bill 2017-74 (Adding “floating holidays” to Personnel Policy Manual) – Councilman
Mihalevich explained the proposed Substitute #2 which was distributed in the packets.
Discussion was held regarding a possible amendment to the substitute.
Bill 2017-82 (parking on Swift’s Highway near Myrtle Avenue) – Councilman Kemna
stated he would be asking for a substitute bill at the November 6th City Council Meeting
