HomeMy Public PortalAbout03398 O R D I N A N C E NO. 3398 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with the firm of Sverdrup & Parcel and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for a Step I engineering study of the Lower Missouri River Basin (MSD Northwest). WHEREAS, the District requires specialized consulting assistance in the preparation of a Step I engineering study of the Lower Missouri River Basin (MSD Northwest), NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer be and they are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the firm of Sverdrup & Parcel and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, for the preparation of a Step I engi- neering study of the Lower Missouri River Basin (MSD Northwest). Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance shall provide for a total fee not to exceed the amount of Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($600,000.00) and such other terms and conditions as are approved by the General Counsel of the District. Section Three. The contract authorized in Section One of this Ordinance shall be paid for by a seventy-five percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States; a fifteen percent (15%) grant from the Department of Natural Resources of the State of Missouri; and a ten percent (10%) contribution from the Subdistrict Planning Fund of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, said contribution to be reimbursed to said fund from funds of the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer Subdistrict as they become available. Section Four. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance shall not become effective until the respective grants from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States and the Department of Natural Resources of the State of Missouri are received and accepted by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 1977. -2-
