HomeMy Public PortalAbout027-2002 - Donations - Human Rights Workshop ORDINANCE NO- 27 - 2002 A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHMOND TO RECEIVE CONTRIBUTIONS WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, Indiana has the option of accepting or rejecting contributions for a specific purpose; and WHEREAS, the acceptance of contributions for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation of such contributions for the intended purpose. WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Human Rights Commission will be hosting a workshop titled “Embracing Tomorrow, A Workshop in Human Rights Policies and Procedures” on May 30 and 31, 2002. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the City is authorized to receive contributions to be used to help pay the costs of the aforementioned Human Rights Commission Workshop to be held in Richmond on May 30 and 31, 2002, and that said contributions will be used to help cover the costs thereof.
