AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA,
SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE, TO CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF
`DESIGN STANDARDS' UNDER SECTION 2.01(9A)

BE IT ENACTED by the City,Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa:
Section I. Purpose: The purpose,of this ordinance is to amend Section 3.05,
City of Tiffin 'Iowa Subdivision Ordinance, to change the change the definition of
"Design Standards" under`Section 2'.01(9A).,
Section II. Amendment: Section 2.01(9A) of the City of Tiffin Iowa
Subdivision Ordinance is hereby replaced with the.following:
2M1 TERMS DEFINED
9A. "Design'Standards" means the City of Tiffin, Iowa Design Standards as adopted by
ResolutionNo.1997-21 and SUDAS, as adopted by Resolution 2013-195 as may be from
time-to-time amended thereafter by action of the City Council.

Section III. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict with the
provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section IV. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this
ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall_not
affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof
not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section V. When Effective. This ordinance shall be in effect after its final
passage, approval, and posting as provided by law.
On the 26th day of February 2014, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin'City Council,
Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson Upton introduced Ordinance No. 2014-349, and moved
that it be given its first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilperson
Petersen.
Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Petersen, Bartels, Upton
Nays: none
Five members-of the Council being present arid having voted "Aye", Mayor,Steve
Berner declared the motion carried, and Ordinance No. 2014-349, was read the first
time, discussed, and placed on record.

On the 12th day of March 2014; at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Ryan introduced Ordinance No. 2014-349, and moved that it be
given its second reading. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Petersen.
Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Petersen, Bartels, Upton
Nays: None r '
Five members of the Council being present and having voted "Aye", Mayor Steve
Berner declared the motion carried, and Ordinance No. 2014-349, was read the
second time and discussed and placed on record.
On the 26th day of March 2014, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
_Iowa, Councilperson Upton introduced Ordinance No. 2014-349, and moved that it
be given its third and last reading. The motion was seconded by Councilperson
Petersen.
Ayes: Kahler, Ryan, Petersen, Bartels, Upton
Nays: None
Five members of the Council being present and having voted "Aye",-Mayor Steve
Berner declared the motion carried, and the ordinance was passed and adopted.
Whereupon the Mayor declared that Ordinance`No. 2014-349 be adopted and
signified his approval of same by fixing his signature thereto. Passed by the Council
on the 26th day of March 2014 and approved by the Mayor on the 31St day of March
2014.

I, Michon Jackson, City Administrator/Clerk of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, state that an
ordinance entitled AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF TIFFIN IOWA,
SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE, TO CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF 'DESIGN
STANDARDS' UNDER SECTION 2.01(9A) and known,as No. 2014 - 349 was
duly passed by the Council on the 26th day of March 20144-and signed by the Mayor
on the-31st day of March 2014, and published on the 31St day of March 2014, by
. posting copies thereof in three public places within the limits of the City of Tiffin,
Iowa. That I posted copies of Ordinance No. 2014 - 349 in`the following places:
