AN ORDINANCE making a supplemental appropriation of
Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) from the General Fund of the
District for the cost of engineering contracts for the preliminary
design of sanitary interceptor sewers and appurtenances and a
treatment plant or treatment plants to serve areas tributary to
the Meramec River, known as the Step 1 Facility Plan - Lower
Meramec River Basin.
WHEREAS, the District has accepted grant offers and
will receive a seventy-five percent (75%) grant from the
Environmental Protection Agency of the United States Government to
pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of said contracts, and
WHEREAS, the District has accepted grant offers and
will receive a fifteen percent (15%) grant from the Clean Water
Commission of the State of Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%)
of the cost of said contracts,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars
($30,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the
District as a supplemental appropriation for the cost of
engineering contracts for the preliminary design of sanitary
interceptor sewers and appurtenances and a treatment plant or
treatment plants to serve areas tributary to the Meramec River,
known as the Step 1 Facility Plan - Lower Meramec River Basin.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 22, 1978.
