AN ORDINANCE, establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis
County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 453 (Shrewsbury
Branch of River des Peres) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN
ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. There is hereby established a subdistrict of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or
drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or
improved at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict
shall be known as Subdistrict No. 453 (Shrewsbury Branch of River
des Peres).
Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 453
(Shrewsbury Branch of River des Peres) shall be as follows:

SHREWSBURY BRANCH OF RIVER DES PERES
Beginning at the intersection of the western limits of the City
of St. Louis and the centerline of the St. Louis - San Francisco
Railroad right-of-way; thence southwestwardly along the
centerline of said St. Louis - San Francisco Railroad right-of-
way to the northward prolongation of the centerline of St.
Michael Street; thence southwardly along said northward
prolongation of and the centerline of St. Michael Street to the
centerline of Lansdowne Avenue; thence westwardly along the
centerline of Lansdowne Avenue to the northward prolongation of
the eastern line of Lot 49 in Block 12 of Shrewsbury Park 2nd
Subdivision, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 88 of
the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along said
northward prolongation of and the eastern line of said Lot 49 to
the southeast corner thereof; thence westwardly along the
centerline of said Block 12 to the northeast corner of Lot 6 in
said Block 12; thence southwardly along the eastern line of said
Lot 6 and its southward prolongation to the centerline of
Devonshire Avenue; thence westwardly along the centerline of
Devonshire Avenue to the centerline of Wilshusen Avenue; thence
southwardly along the centerline of Wilshusen Avenue to the
centerline of Murdoch Avenue; thence Southwestwardly and
westwardly along the centerline of Murdoch Avenue to the

centerline of Interstate Highway 44; thence Southwestwardly along
the centerline of Interstate Highway 44 to the westward
prolongation of the southern line of Grove Avenue; thence
eastwardly along said westward prolongation of and the southern
line of Grove Avenue to the northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 3 of
Old Orchard Heights, a subdivision recorded in Plat Book 5, Page
95 of the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence southerly
along the western most line of said Lot 6 to the southwest corner
thereof; thence easterly along the southern most line of said Lot
6 to the southeast corner thereof; said point also being the
northwest corner of Lot 12, Block 3 of said Old Orchard Heights
Subdivision; thence southerly along the western most line of said
Lot 12 to the northern line of Weil Avenue; thence easterly along
the north line of Weil Avenue, and the prolongation of said north
line to its intersection with the eastern line of Wilshusen
Avenue; thence northerly along the eastern line of Wilshusen
Avenue to a said point being the southwest corner of the property
conveyed to Ruth E. Berger by the deed recorded in Book 2369,
Page 261 of the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence
eastwardly along the southern line of said Berger property to the
eastern most line of John R. Steinicke's Addition, a subdivision
recorded in Plat Book 21, Page 26 of the St. Louis County
Recorder's Office; thence southwardly along the eastern most line
of said subdivision and its southward prolongation to its
intersection with the north line of Weil Avenue; thence easterly

along the north line of Weil Avenue to its intersection with the
northward prolongation of the western line of St. Charles Place;
thence southerly along said northward prolongation of and the
western line of St. Charles Place to its intersection with the
western prolongation of the southern most line of the property
conveyed to Charles P. Lannon by the deed recorded in Book 1984,
Page 229 of the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence
eastwardly along said western prolongation of and the southern
line of said Lannon property to its intersection with the western
most line of Lot 13, Block 7 of Hill Top View No. 2, a sub-
division recorded in Book 26, Page 11 of the St. Louis County
Recorder's Office; thence southerly along said western line of
Lot 13 to the southwest corner thereof; thence easterly along the
south line of said Lot 13 and the prolongation thereof, said
prolongation also being the north line of Lots 9 through 5 of
Block 7, of said Hill Top View No. 2 subdivision, to its
intersection with the eastern line of St. Michael Avenue; thence
northerly along said eastern line of St. Michael Avenue to the
northwest corner of Lot 33, Block 6 of aforementioned Hill Top
View No. 2 subdivision; thence easterly along the northern most
line of said Lot 33 to the northeast corner of said Lot 33, said
point also being the southeast corner of Lot 32, Block 6 of
aforementioned subdivision; thence northerly along the eastern
most line of Lot 32 to its intersection with the south line of
Weil Avenue; thence easterly along the southern line of Weil

Avenue to the northwest corner of Lot 3, Block 2, of Hill Top
View, a subdivision recorded in Plat Book 27, Page 5 of the St.
Louis County Recorder's Office; thence southerly along the
western most line of said Lot 3 to the southwestern most corner;
thence easterly along the southern most line of Lot 3 to the
northwest corner of Lot 54, Block 2 of aforementioned Hill Top
View subdivision; thence southerly along the western most line of
Lots 54 and 53 to the southwest corner of Lot 53; thence easterly
along the southern line of Lot 53 and its eastward prolongation
to its intersection with the eastern line of Deville Avenue;
thence southerly along the eastern line of Deville Avenue to a
point, said point being the southwest corner of the property
conveyed to Edward T. Feeney and Viola A. Feeney, his wife, by
the deed recorded in Book 3583, Page 166 of the St. Louis County
Recorder's Office; thence easterly along the most southern line
of said Feeney property to the southeast corner thereof, said
point also being in the western most line of Lot 8, Block 5 of
Hill Top View No. 5, a subdivision recorded in Plat Book 28, Page
6 of the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence northwardly
along the western most line of said Lot 8 to the northwest corner
thereof; thence eastwardly along the northern most line of said
Lot 8 and its eastern prolongation to the southwest corner of Lot
7, Block 4, of said Hill Top View No. 5 subdivision; thence
eastwardly along the southern most line of Lot 7 to the southeast
corner thereof; thence northward to a point, said point being the

northwest corner of Lot 24 of Block 4 of said Hill Top View No. 5
subdivision, thence eastwardly along the north line of said Lot
24 and its eastward prolongation to the southwest corner of Lot
8, Block 3 of said Hill Top View No. 5 subdivision; thence
eastwardly along the southern most line of Lot 8 to the southeast
corner thereof; thence northwardly along the eastern most line of
Lots 8, 7 and 4 of Block 3 to the northeast corner of said
Lot 4, said point also being in the southern line of Weil Avenue;
thence eastwardly along the southern line of Weil Avenue to its
intersection with the centerline of the St. Louis - San Francisco
Railroad right-of-way; thence northwardly along the centerline of
said St. Louis - San Francisco Railroad right-of-way to its
intersection with the centerline of Interstate Highway 44; thence
northeastwardly along the centerline of Interstate Highway 44 to
its intersection with the western limits of the City of St.
Louis; thence northwardly along the western limits of the City of
St. Louis to the point of beginning.
Section Three. This Ordinance is for the establishment of a
subdistrict wherein sewer or drainage facilities may be
constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of said
subdistrict, and the construction or improvement of said
facilities being necessary for the protection of public health
and welfare, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the
Plan, therefore, this Ordinance shall be and become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
