AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to purchase from the owners thereof certain real property in St.
Louis, Missouri, for the purpose of right-of-way along the River
des Peres,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and the Secretary-
Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to purchase from
the owners thereof, the following real property in St. Louis,
Missouri, for the purpose of right-of-way along the River des
Peres, at a price not to exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00),
said property to be free from all encumbrances, said property
described as follows: A lot composed of part of BLOCKS 3256 and 3257 of the City of St. Louis, part of Minnesota Avenue and part of former River des Peres, described as beginning at the point of intersection of the West line of Minnesota Avenue with the South line of River des Peres Drainage Works as established by Ordinance 32986, thence in a Westerly direction along said South line to its intersection with the center line of the former River des Peres, thence in an Easterly direction along said center line to its intersection with the South line of the River des Peres Drainage Works as established as aforesaid, thence in a Westerly direction along the said South line to the point of beginning.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owner of a General Warranty Deed in proper form, being
free from lines and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land
to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby
authorized and directed to pay to said owner, for the said land,
the total sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00). The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 12, 1978.
