HomeMy Public PortalAbout03504 O R D I N A N C E NO. 3504 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase from the owners thereof certain real property in St. Louis, Missouri, to acquire legal title to a portion of the maintenance yard. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and the Secretary- Treasurer of the District are hereby authorized to purchase from the owners thereof, the following real property in St. Louis, Missouri, to acquire legal title to a portion of the maintenance yard, at a price not to exceed Ten Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($10,500.00), said property to be free from all encumbrances, said property described as follows: A parcel of land in City Blocks 4021 and 4636-N of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, and in former Sulphur Avenue vacated by Ordinance No. 31187 of the City of St. Louis, and described as commencing at a point in the most Northern corner of a tract of land conveyed to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District by deed recorded in Book 8053, Page 32 of the City of St. Louis records, said point being also in the East line of Hampton Avenue (80 feet wide); thence South 63 degrees 43 minutes 30 seconds East along the Northeast line of said Metropolitan Sewer District tract 207.56 feet to a point in the Northeast corner of said tract; thence South 85 degrees 01 minutes 07 seconds East a distance of 213.13 feet to a point, being the point of beginning of the tract herein described; thence North 87 degrees 06 minutes 41 seconds East a distance of 180 feet to a point; thence North 39 degrees 26 minutes 01 seconds East a distance of 102.50 feet to a point; thence South 50 degrees 33 minutes 59 seconds East a distance of 90 feet to a point; thence South 39 degrees 26 minutes 01 seconds West a distance of 78 feet to a point; thence North 85 degrees 01 minutes 07 seconds West from said last described point to the point of beginning, and containing 11,540 square feet, more or less. Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them by said owner of a Quit Claim Deed in proper form, being free from liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby authorized and directed to pay to said owner, for the said land, the total sum of Ten Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($10,500.00).
