AN ORDINANCE, amending Ordinance No. 3309, as adopted
August 10, 1977, and amended by Ordinance No. 3499, as adopted May
4, 1978, by repealing Section Six and Section Twelve, and enacting
a new Section Six and a new Section Twelve in lieu thereof, fixing
the respective compensations for the Director of Wastewater-
Treatment Department and the Director of Legal Services, with an
emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Section Six of Ordinance No. 3309, as
adopted August 10, 1977, and amended by Ordinance No. 3499, as
adopted May 4, 1978, is hereby repealed.
Section Two. Section Twelve of Ordinance No. 3309, as
adopted August 10, 1977, and amended by Ordinance No. 3499, as
adopted May 4, 1978, is hereby repealed.
Section Three. Section Six of Ordinance No. 3309 as
hereby amended shall read as follows:
"Section Six. Effective October 2, 1978, the salary of
the Director of Wastewater-Treatment Department shall be at the
rate of $33,500.00 per annum, payable in equal bi-weekly
installments".
Section Four. Section Twelve of Ordinance No. 3309 as
hereby amended shall read as follows:
"Section Twelve. Effective October 2, 1978, the salary
of the Director of Legal Services shall be at the rate of
$32,000.00 per annum, payable in equal bi-weekly installments".
Section Five. The positions of Director of Wastewater-
Treatment Department and Director of Legal Services, and the
salaries therefor, are essential to the operations of the
District, and the amendments as herein specified must take effect
without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of
the Plan. Accordingly, this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 1978.
