HomeMy Public PortalAbout03618 O R D I N A N C E NO. 3618 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($755,000.00) from the Bonfils Operating Fund, of which Thirty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($37,750.00) is to be used to pay the District's five percent (5%) share, Five Hundred Sixty-six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($566,250.00) will be received from the Environmental Protection Agency, One Hundred Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($113,250.00) will be received from the Clean Water Commission, and Thirty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($37,750.00) will be received from the City of Bridgeton, Missouri, for the construction of the Berry Hills Sanitary Interceptor, in Bridgeton, Missouri. WHEREAS, the District will receive a seventy-five percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States government to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of said construction, and WHEREAS, the District will receive a fifteen percent (15%) grant from the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said construction, and WHEREAS, the District will receive a five percent (5%) contribution from the City of Bridgeton, Missouri to pay five per- cent (5%) of the cost of said construction, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: 2 Section One. The sum of Thirty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($37,750.00) is hereby appropriated from the Bonfils Operating Fund to pay five percent (5%) of the cost of construction of the Berry Hills Sanitary Interceptor, in Bridgeton, Missouri. Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States government will amount to Five Hundred Sixty-six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($566,250.00) which, when received, will be deposited in the Bonfils Operating Fund, and is to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of construction of the Berry Hills Sanitary Interceptor, in Bridgeton, Missouri, and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said construction. Section Three. The grant from the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri will amount to One Hundred Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($113,250.00) which, when received will be deposited in the Bonfils Operating Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of construction of the Berry Hills Sanitary Interceptor; said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said construction. Section Four. The contribution from the City of Bridgeton, Missouri will amount to Thirty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($37,750.00) which, when received, will be 3 deposited in the Bonfils Operating Fund, and is to pay five percent (5%) of the cost of construction of the Berry Hills Sanitary Interceptor; said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said construction. Section Five. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 8, 1978.
