AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-six Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($26,500.00) from the unappropriated balance of
the Mississippi River Subdistrict Principal and Interest Account
to be used for the purchase of Thirty Thousand Dollars
($30,000.00) par value Mississippi River Subdistrict Sewer Bonds
dated February 1, 1965 and maturing variously on February 1 of
1982, 1983 and 1985, together with their accrued interest.
WHEREAS, the owners of such bonds have offered to sell
to the District respectively, Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00)
par value of such bonds maturing February 1, 1982 for Four
Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-nine Dollars, Seventy Cents
($4,499.70), Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) par value of
such bonds maturing February 1, 1983, for Thirteen Thousand One
Hundred Twenty-eight Dollars, Thirty Cents ($13,128.30), and Ten
Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) par value of such bonds maturing
February 1, 1985, for Eight Thousand Three Hundred Dollars, Ten
Cents ($8,300.10), plus accrued interest from August 1, 1978 until
date of sale, and
WHEREAS, the District is willing to purchase such bonds
upon such terms,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-six Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($26,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the
unappropriated balance of the Mississippi River Subdistrict
Principal and Interest Account to be used for the purchase of
Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) par value Mississippi River
Subdistrict Sewer Bonds dated February 1, 1965 and maturing
variously on February 1 of 1982, 1983 and 1985, together with
payment of the accrued interest thereon from August 1, 1978 until
date of sale and interest payment therefor.
Section Two. Upon receipt of such bonds by the
Secretary-Treasurer he is hereby authorized and directed to cancel
and retire such bonds, together with their then outstanding
interest coupons.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 1978.
