AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN,
IOWA, CHAPTER 91, TO.INCLUDE A SECTION FOR YARD WATERING
METERS.
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa:
Section I. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Chapter 91 of
the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, to include an additional'section for yard watering
meters.

Section II. Amendment. Chapter 91 is hereby amended, to include Section
91.10, as follows:

WATER METERS
91.10 SINGLE-PURPOSE METERS. Single-purpose meters may be'
obtained from the City for the sole purpose of yard watering. 'These meters
shall not be used to fill pools or hot tubs or for any other outside uses. Water
from -these meters cannot end up in the sewer system, and therefore these
meters are exempt from the sewer charges as set forth in Chapter 99, except'as
,specified herein. The water used by these meters will be charged in
accordance with Chapter 92. Users of these single-purpose meters are
responsible for sending in monthly meter readings to the City by the first of
each month. If a user fails to send in a monthly reading, said user will not
receive a sewer credit for water used. These meters are available from the City
beginning on April 1" and must be returned to the City by the following
October 31S`. The availability of these meters will be limited, and they will be
provided by the City on a first come, first serve basis. The user is responsible
for installing and returning the meter. Any user that fails to return-the single-
purpose meter by October 31" shall be charged $100.

Section III. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict with the
provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section IV. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this
ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not
