AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirteen Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($13,500.00) from the General Fund as an
additional appropriation to pay the audit fees for the District
and its subdistricts for the year ending June 30, 1978.
WHEREAS, the District's contract for auditing services
provided that such examination should not exceed a total of Forty-
three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($43,500.00), being the sum of
Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) to audit the books of the
District, and Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($6,500.00) for
the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict, and Six Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($6,500.00) for the Fee Fee Trunk Sewer
Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid auditors have submitted a bill
for an additional Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for accounting
assistance rendered in connection with the examination of the
financial statements of the District; and
WHEREAS, the sum previously appropriated for such audit
was Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00),
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($13,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the
unappropriated balance of the General Fund to be used to pay the
firm of Ernst and Ernst, Certified Public Accountants, for the
cost of the audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1978, not
heretofore appropriated, and the accounting assistance rendered
the District in connection with such examination.
Section Two. This Ordinance, being an appropriation
Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 28, 1979.
