AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of
Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) from the General Fund
of the District, of which Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($7,500.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten percent (10%)
share, Fifty-six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($56,250.00)
will be received from the Environmental Protection Agency, and
Eleven Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($11,250.00) will be
received from the Clean Water Commission for additional costs of a
Step I engineering study for preparation of a facility plan for
the Lower Missouri River Basin (Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District Northwest).
WHEREAS, the District will receive a seventy-five
percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of
the United States government to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of
the cost of said study, and
WHEREAS, the District will receive a fifteen percent
(15%) grant from the Clean Water Commission of the State of
Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said study,
and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 3520, adopted May 24, 1978,
provided for the initial funding of said study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($7,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
of the District to pay ten percent (10%) of the additional costs
of a Step I engineering study for preparation of a facility plan
for the Lower Missouri River Basin (Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District Northwest).
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental
Protection Agency of the United States government will amount to
Fifty-six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($56,250.00) which,
when received, will be deposited in the General Fund of the
District, and is to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the
additional costs of a Step I engineering study for preparation of
a facility plan for the Lower Missouri River Basin (Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District Northwest), and said amount is hereby
appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of the contracts for said study.
Section Three. The grant from the Clean Water
Commission of the State of Missouri will amount to Eleven Thousand
Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($11,250.00) which, when received, will
be deposited in the General Fund of the District, and is to pay
fifteen percent (15%) of the additional costs of a Step I engi-
neering study for preparation of a facility plan for the Lower
Missouri River Basin (Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District North-
west), and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make
said payments when due and payable under the terms of the
contracts for said study.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
