HomeMy Public PortalAbout03762 O R D I N A N C E NO. 3762 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to lease to the United States of America (Coast Guard), certain boat dock facilities at the Bissell Point Treatment Plant in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, for use for storage of Coast Guard boats, vehicles and equipment, minor maintenance of same, and dispatch of boats and vehicles, and to execute a Lease Agreement upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set out. WHEREAS, the use of said facilities as herein specified will not interfere with any District operations, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby authorized and directed to lease to the United States of America (Coast Guard), upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set out, for use for storage of Coast Guard boats, vehicles and equipment, minor maintenance of same, and dispatch of boats and vehicles, the following described boat dock facilities at the Bissell Point Treatment Plant in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to wit: A boat house complex consisting of a 50' x 50' boat house with front and rear sliding doors to the river and an overhead boat winch track system which can transport a vessel to any desired location within the building. A marine railway leads from the boat house's rear doors down the bank to the river. A boat trolley with cradles traverses the railway. Adjacent to the boat house and leading to the boat dock is a 50' x 55' parking area enclosed by an 8' chain link fence topped with barbed wire. This fencing continues along the full length of the steel cat walk to the boat dock. The dock consists of two steel cells with a floating mooring platform in between. Location of this facility is at the Foot of East Grand Street, St. Louis, Mo., Mile 183.5 Upper Mississippi River. Section Two. The lease shall be for the term beginning March 15, 1979 and terminating December 31, 1979, at the rental of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per month. Section Three. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby authorized and directed to execute a Lease Agreement giving effect to Sections One and Two hereof, and embodying such other terms and conditions as approved by the Director of Legal Services. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 11, 1979. -2-
