AN ORDINANCE, providing for charges for the connection
directly or indirectly of any building or other facility to the
sanitary sewer system and treatment facilities of Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and
setting out a schedule for such charges.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. For the purpose of providing funds for
improvements and local matching funds for the State and Federal
grants, there is hereby authorized and directed to be charged and
collected a connection charge for every building or other facility
hereinafter connected, directly or indirectly through other sewers
to the sanitary sewer system of Coldwater Creek Subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District.
Section Two. Effective July 1, 1979, such charges for
new service connections are as follows:
Single family residences $ 250.00
Apartments (per unit) 175.00
Commercial (per acre) 650.00
Section Three. Such charges as established in Section Two
hereof shall be payable and collected in advance of the issuance
of a permit to connect to such sanitary sewer system.
Section Four. All funds received from the collection
of connection charges as herein established shall be deposited by
the Secretary-Treasurer in the Coldwater Creek Extension and
Improvement Fund, subject to appropriation by Ordinance for any
lawful purpose.
Section Five. Any violation of this Ordinance shall be
punished by a fine of $500.00 or imprisonment in the St. Louis
County jail for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, or both
such fine and imprisonment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 23, 1979.
