AN ORDINANCE, amending Ordinance No. 3309, adopted
August 10, 1977, and amended by Ordinance No. 3499, adopted May 4,
1978, Ordinance No. 3605, adopted October 11, 1978, and Ordinance
No. 3740, adopted March 14, 1979, by repealing Section Nine, and
enacting a new Section Nine in lieu thereof, prescribing the
salary for the position of Director of Maintenance, with an
emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Section Nine of Ordinance No. 3309,
adopted August 10, 1977, and amended by Ordinance No. 3499,
adopted May 4, 1978, Ordinance No. 3605, adopted October 11, 1978,
and Ordinance No. 3740, adopted March 14, 1979, is hereby
repealed.
Section Two. Section Nine of Ordinance No. 3309 as
amended shall read as follows:
"Section Nine. Effective August 8, 1979, the salary of
the Director of Maintenance shall be at the rate of $32,500.00
per annum, payable in equal bi-weekly installments".
Section Three. The position of Director of
Maintenance is essential to the operations of the District, and
the salary therefor must be prescribed without delay, thus
creating an emergency within the meaning of the Plan.
Accordingly, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 8, 1979.
