AN ORDINANCE, extending the term of the contract with
The Great-West Life Assurance Company for the District's
Reversionary Annuity Benefit Contract (Surviving Spouses' Benefit
Insurance) through March 31, 1980, with an emergency clause.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 3136, adopted September 22,
1976, awarded said contract to The Great-West Life Assurance
Company, and the District is desirous of extending the term of
said contract through March 31, 1980,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The term of the contract with The Great-
West Life Assurance Company for the District's Reversionary
Annuity Benefit Contract (Surviving Spouses' Benefit Insurance),
is hereby extended through March 31, 1980.
Section Two. This ordinance, being for the extension
of the contract for the District's Reversionary Annuity Benefit
Contract (Surviving Spouses' Benefit Insurance), is necessary for
the protection of the District's employees, and requires enactment
without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of
the Plan. Accordingly, this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 1979.
