HomeMy Public PortalAbout03913 O R D I N A N C E NO. 3913 AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Three Million Three Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Dollars ($3,359,000.00) from the Mississippi River Construction Fund, of which Three Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($335,900.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten percent (10%) share; a grant of Two Million Five Hundred Nineteen Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($2,519,250.00) has been received from the Environmental Protection Agency, and Five Hundred Three Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars ($503,850.00) has been reserved by the Clean Water Commission for the cost of continuing Step I engineering studies of the Mississippi River Overflow Regulation System in the Bissell Point and Lemay Watersheds. (Engineering contracts E-284 and E-285, Federal Project C-291077) WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five per- cent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of said continuing studies, and WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been reserved by the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said continuing studies, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($335,900.00) is hereby appropriated from the Mississippi River Construction Fund to pay ten percent (10%) of the cost of continuing Step I engineering studies of the Mississippi River Sewer Overflow Regulation System. Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States amounts to Two Million Five Hundred Nineteen Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($2,519,250.00) which, when received, will be deposited in the Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of continuing Step I engineering studies of the Mississippi River Sewer Overflow Regulation System, and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said studies. Section Three. The reserved grant from the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri amounts to Five Hundred Three Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars ($503,850.00) which, when received, will be deposited in the Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of continuing Step I engineering studies of the Mississippi River Sewer Overflow Regulation System, and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts from said studies. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 28, 1979. -2-
