AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Twelve Thousand
Seven Hundred Fifty-one Dollars ($1,012,751.00) from the
Mississippi River Construction Fund of which One Hundred One
Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-six Dollars ($101,276.00) is to be
used to pay the District's ten percent (10%) share; Seven Hundred
Fifty-nine Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-three Dollars ($759,563.00)
will be received from the Environmental Protection Agency of the
United States government, and One Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Nine
Hundred Twelve Dollars ($151,912.00) will be received from the
Department of Natural Resources of the State of Missouri for
engineering services relating to Step 2 and finalization of the
plans and specifications - Lemay Treatment Plant - Secondary
Treatment Facilities, Engineering Contract E-231, Federal Project
C290640 01.
WHEREAS, the District will receive a seventy-five per-
cent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the
United States government to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the
cost of said contract, and
WHEREAS, the District will receive a fifteen percent
(15%) grant from the Department of Natural Resources of the State
of Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said
contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred One Thousand Two
Hundred Seventy-six Dollars ($101,276.00) is hereby appropriated
from the Mississippi River Construction Fund to pay ten percent
(10%) for engineering services relating to Step 2 and finalization
of the plans and specifications - Lemay Treatment Plant Secondary
Treatment Facilities, Engineering Contract E-231, Federal Project
C290640 01.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Protec-
tion Agency of the United States government will amount to Seven
Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-three Dollars
($759,563.00) which, when received, will be deposited in the
Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay seventy-five
percent (75%) for engineering services relating to Step 2 and
finalization of the plans and specifications - Lemay Treatment
Plant - Secondary Treatment Facilities, Engineering Contract E-
231, Federal Project C290640 01, and said amount is hereby
appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of the said contract.
Section Three. The grant from the Department of
Natural Resources of the State of Missouri will amount to One
Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Nine Hundred Twelve Dollars
($151,912.00) which, when received, will be deposited in the
Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent
(15%) for engineering services relating to Step 2 and finalization
of the plans and specifications - Lemay Treatment Plant -
Secondary Treatment Facilities, Engineering Contract E-231,
Federal Project C290640 01, and said amount is hereby appropriated
to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the
terms of the said contract.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
