HomeMy Public PortalAbout04039 O R D I N A N C E NO. 4039 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) from the General Fund of the District, of which Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten percent (10%) share; a grant of Two Hundred Sixty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($262,500.00) has been received from the Environmental Protection Agency, and Fifty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($52,500.00) has been reserved by the Clean Water Commission for the cost of engineering services for the Development of a Pretreatment Program to bring the District into compliance with Federal and State Pretreatment Regulations, and incidental expenses thereto incurred by the District's Industrial Waste Division. (Engineering Contracts E-307 and E-308, Federal Project C-290640) WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of said program, and WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been reserved by the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said continuing program, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the District to pay ten percent (10%) of the cost of engineering services for the Development of a Pretreatment Program to bring the District into compliance with Federal and State Pretreatment Regulations, and incidental expenses thereto incurred by the District's Industrial Waste Division. Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States amounts to Two Hundred Sixty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($262,500.00), which will be deposited in the General Fund of the District, and is to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of engineering services for the Development of a Pretreatment Program to bring the District into compliance with Federal and State Pretreatment Regulations, and incidental expenses thereto incurred by the District's Industrial Waste Division; said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said services. Section Three. The reserved grant from the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri amounts to Fifty-two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($52,500.00), which will be deposited in the General Fund of the District, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of engineering services for the Development of a Pre-treatment Program to bring the District into compliance with Federal and State Pretreatment Regulations, and incidental expenses thereto incurred by the District's Industrial Waste Division; said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said services. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 28, 1980.
