AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to lease to St. Louis
County, Missouri, certain real property of the District located
along Gravois Creek near Union Road in St. Louis County, Missouri,
as acquired pursuant to an Open Space Land program grant from the
Department of Housing and Urban Development of the United States
of America, for use as a public park.
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban
Development of the United States of America has approved the lease
of said real property for use as a public park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to lease to St. Louis
County, Missouri certain real property of the District located
along Gravois Creek near Union Road in St. Louis County.
Missouri, as acquired pursuant to an Open Space Land Program grant
from the Department of Housing and Urban Development of the United
States of America, for use as a public park.
Section Two. The lease shall be for an original term
of one (1) year, and shall be automatically renewed from year to
year, commencing with the expiration of the original term, not to
exceed twenty-four (24) renewable terms, for a total lease term of
not more than twenty-five (25) years from the date of execution of
said lease.
Section Three. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to execute a Lease Agreement
giving effect to Sections One and Two of this Ordinance, and
embodying such other terms and conditions as are approved by the
Assistant Executive Director and General Counsel of the District.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 1981.
