AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-five Million Four
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($45,400,000.00) from the Mississippi
River Construction Fund, of which Four Million Five Hundred Forty
Thousand Dollars ($4,540,000.00) is to be used to pay the
District's ten percent (10%) share; Thirty-Four Million Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($34,050,000.00) will be received from the
Environmental Protection Agency of the United States government
and Six Million Eight Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($6,810.000.00)
will be received from the Department of Natural Resources of the
State of Missouri for the construction of Lemay Wastewater Treat-
ment Plant - Final Settling Tanks, Blower and Thickener Building,
Electric Substation and Site Development, Contract PA 63, in St.
Louis County, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the District will receive a seventy-five per-
cent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the
United States government to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the
cost of said construction, and
WHEREAS, the District will receive a fifteen percent
(15%) grant from the Department of Natural Resources of the State
of Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said con-
struction,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Five Hundred
Forty Thousand Dollars ($4,540,000.00) is hereby appropriated from
the Mississippi River Construction Fund to pay ten percent (10%)
of the construction of Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant - Final
Settling Tanks, Blower and Thickener Building, Electric Substation
and Site Development, Contract PA-63, in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental
Protection Agency of the United States government will amount to
Thirty-four Million Fifty Thousand Dollars ($34,050,000.00) which,
when received, will be deposited in the Mississippi River
Construction Fund, and is to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the
cost of construction of Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant - Final
Settling Tanks, Blower and Thickener Building, Electric Substation
and Site Development, Contract PA-63, in St. Louis County,
Missouri, and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to
make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the
contracts for said construction.
Section Three. The grant from the Department of
Natural Resources of the State of Missouri will amount to Six
Million Eight Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($6,810,000.00) which,
when received, will be deposited in the Mississippi River
Construction Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost
of construction of Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant - Final
Settling Tanks, Blower and Thickener Building, Electric Substation
and Site Development, Contract PA-63, in St. Louis County,
Missouri, and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to
make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the
contracts for said construction.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
