night watchman until April lst at a salary of $2.30 per hour.
Hours on duty are to be from 11 P.M. until 6 A.M. seven days a week.

Nays -None Absent -None Carried.
Moved by Huisman, 2nd by Cordes to approve the first reading of
an ordinance establishing rules and regulations for obtaining a
building permit. Carried.
Moved by Cordes, 2nd by Van Deest to approve Darrell Breneman as
a member of the Library Board to fill the vacancy created by the
resignation of Shelby Luwe. Carried.
Huisman moved, Cordes 2nd adjourment. Carried.

The Wellsburg City Council met in reg-filar`session on January 3,
1977, with Mayor Blythe presiding and Councilmen Cordes, Huisman,
Van Deest and Bausman present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved on a motion
by Cordes, 2nd by Van Deest.
Huisman moved, Bausman 2nd allowance of the following bills for
payment:
Net salaries $ 990.34
Bernerd Harms, treasurer's salary for 1976 170.00
L. Gene Blythe, mayor's salary for 1976 360.00
Frank Hippen, net hourly wages 385."7
Councilmen's salary for 1976 216.00

Moved by Cordes, 2nd by Bausman to fix the following salaries:
City Clerk $217.50 per month City Treasurer rp190 per year
Hourly rate for city employees set at $2.3043.00 and night
watchman's salary at $2.30 per hour. The city employee's salary
to increase on June 1, 1977, by $41.67 per month. Carried.
Moved by Bausman, 2nd by Huisman that the mayor's salary be set
at $370 per year and councilmen's salary at $5 per meeting to
become effective January 1, 1978. Carried.
Moved by Huisman, 2nd by Van Deest to approve the second reading
of an ordinance establishing rules and regulations for obtaining
a building permit. Carried.
Huisman moved, Van Deest 2nd adjournment. Carried.

The Wellsburg City Council met in sp'eip_'l session on January 21,
1977, with Mayor Blythe presiding and council members Cordes, Van
Deest, Bausman, and Terfehn present.
Moved by Cordes, 2nd by Van Deest to adopt the resolution for
the consgruction of street improvements. Roll call of votes --
Ayes! -Cordes, Van Deest, Bausman, Terfehn
Nays --None .Absent--Huisman. Carried.
There being no further business, the meeting stood adjourned.
