AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Fifty-eight
Thousand Dollars ($258,000.00) from the Mississippi River
Construction Fund, of which Twenty-five Thousand Eight Hundred
Dollars ($25,800.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten
percent (10%) share; One Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($193,500.00) will be received from the
Environmental Protection Agency of the United States government
and Thirty-eight Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($38,700.00) will
be received from the Department of Natural Resources of the State
of Missouri for the preparation of an operation and maintenance
manual for the Secondary Treatment Facilities to the Lemay
Treatment Plant, in St. Louis County, Missouri.
WHEREAS, the District will receive a seventy-five
percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of
the United States government to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of
the cost of said manual, and
WHEREAS, the District will receive a fifteen percent
(15%) grant from the Department of Natural Resources of the State
of Missouri to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said
manual, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-five Thousand
Eight Hundred Dollars ($25,800.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Mississippi River Construction Fund to pay ten percent (10%) of
the cost of preparation of an operation and maintenance manual for
the Secondary Treatment Facilities to the Lemay Treatment Plant,
in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental
Protection Agency of the United States government will amount to
One Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($193,500.00) which, when received, will be deposited in the
Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay seventy-five
percent (75%) of the cost of preparation of an operation and
maintenance manual for the Secondary Treatment Facilities to the
Lemay Treatment Plant, in St. Louis County, Missouri, and said
amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments
when due and payable under the terms of Amendment No. 7 to
Contract E-231 for said manual.
Section Three. The grant from the Department of
Natural Resources of the State of Missouri will amount to Thirty-
eight Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($38,700.00) which, when
received, will be deposited in the Mississippi River Construction
Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of
preparation of an operation and maintenance manual for the
Secondary Treatment Facilities to the Lemay Treatment Plant, in
St. Louis County, Missouri, and said amount is hereby
appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of Amendment No. 7 to Contract E-231 for said
manual.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
