AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eighty Thousand
Four Hundred Dollars ($180,400.00) from the General Fund of the
District, of which Eighteen Thousand Forty Dollars ($18,040.00) is
to be used to pay the District's ten percent (10%) share; a grant
of One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Three Hundred Dollars
($135,300.00) has been received from the Environmental Protection
Agency, and Twenty-seven Thousand Sixty Dollars ($27,060.00) has
been reserved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for
Contract P-2, purchase of two (2) sludge transport trucks for
collection of sludge from various wastewater treatment facilities
with the Caulks Creek and Missouri River watersheds of the
District, Federal Project C291148-03.
WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five
percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of
the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost
said project, and
WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been
reserved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay
fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eighteen Thousand Forty
Dollars ($18,040.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
of the District to pay ten percent (10%) of the cost for Contract
P-2, purchase of two (2) sludge transport trucks for collection of
sludge from various wastewater treatment facilities within the
Caulks Creek and Missouri River watersheds of the District.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental
Protection Agency of the United States amounts to One Hundred
Thirty-five Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($135,300.00), which
will be deposited in the General Fund of the District, and is to
pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost for Contract P-2,
purchase of two (2) sludge transport trucks for collection of
sludge from various wastewater treatment facilities within the
Caulks Creek and Missouri River watersheds of the District; said
amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments
when due and payable under the terms of the contract for said
project.
Section Three. The reserved grant from the Missouri
Department of Natural Resources amounts to Twenty-seven Thousand
Sixty Dollars ($27,060.00), which will be deposited in the General
Fund of the District, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the
cost for Contract P-2, purchase of two (2) sludge transport trucks
for collection of sludge from various wastewater treatment
facilities within the Caulks Creek and Missouri River watersheds
of the District; said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to
make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the
contract for said project.
Section Pour. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
