HomeMy Public PortalAbout04646 O R D I N A N C E NO. 4646 AN ORDINANCE, awarding a contract to National Union Fire Insurance Company (Lawton, Byrne, Bruner Insurance Agency Co., agent) for the District's Public Official Liability Insurance coverage from March 8, 1982 to March 8, 1985, with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The National Union Fire Insurance Company, who submitted the lowest overall bid to the District for the District's Public Official Liability Insurance coverage, with an annual aggregate coverage of $2,000,000, and with a deductible amount of $15,000 per loss, and a $1,000 deductible per individual, of those bids received and opened on February 11, 1982, at 11:00 A.M., at the District's office, at and for a three (3) year premium of Twenty-two Thousand One Hundred Fifty-five Dollars ($22,155.00), to be payable in annual installments of Seven Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($7,385.00) for such policy period, is hereby awarded the contract for such liability coverage from March 8, 1982 to March 8, 1985. Section Two. The insurance coverage as specified herein is necessary for the protection of the public welfare, and the contract for such coverage must be awarded without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of the Plan. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 24, 1982.
