AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty-six
Thousand Dollars ($136,000.00) from the Subdistrict Planning Fund
for the cost of initiating Step 2 engineering design of improve-
ments to the Upper River des Peres Foulwater Interceptor, con-
necting sewers and appurtenant structures between the discharge of
the River des Peres Underground Drainage Works and Deer Creek, and
between Deer Creek and Lemay Pump Station No. 1 (Part of Federal
Project No. C-291077).
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the initiation of the Step
2 engineering design of improvements to the Upper River des Peres
Foulwater Interceptor, connecting sewers and appurtenant
structures between the discharge of the River des Peres
Underground Drainage Works and Deer Creek, and between Deer Creek
and Lemay Pump Station No. 1 (Part of Federal Project No. C-
291077) to provide continued eligibility of the overall program
for Federal funding, and
WHEREAS, under the 1981 Amendments to the Clean Water
Act, funding for Step 1 and Step 2 grants must be advanced by the
Grantee, and allowance will be made for the Federal share and
State share of the advanced funds when the Grantee receives the
Step 3 Construction Grant, and
WHEREAS, when this allowance is made with the Step 3
Grant, said funds shall be repaid to the Subdistrict Planning
Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty-six
Thousand Dollars ($136,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Subdistrict Planning Fund for the cost of initiating Step 2
engineering design of improvements to the Upper River des Peres
Foulwater Interceptor, connecting sewers and appurtenant
structures between the discharge of the River des Peres
Underground Drainage Works and Deer Creek, and between Deer Creek
and Lemay Pump Station No. 1 (Part of Federal Project No. C-
291077).
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 14, 1982.
