AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of
Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) from the Mississippi
River Construction Fund, of which Thirty Thousand Dollars
($30,000.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten percent (10%)
share; a grant of Two Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars
($225,000.00) has been received from the Environmental Protection
Agency, and Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00) has been
reserved by the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri
for the checking of shop drawings and innovative/alternative
investigation of Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant - Maintenance
Building and Modifications and Addition to Existing Incinerator
and Filter Building, Contract PA-64, in St. Louis County,
Missouri, Federal Project No. C290640-03.
WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five per-
cent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the
United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the additional
costs of said project, and
WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been re-
served by the Clean Water Commission of the State of Missouri to
pay fifteen percent (15%) of the additional costs of said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars is
hereby appropriated from the Mississippi River Construction Fund
to' pay ten percent (10%) of the checking of shop drawings and
innovative/alternative investigation of Lemay Wastewater Treatment
Plant - Maintenance Building and Modifications and Addition to
Existing Incinerator and Filter Building, Contract PA-64.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Pro-
tection Agency of the United States amounts to Two Hundred Twenty-
five Thousand Dollars ($225,000.00) which will be deposited in the
Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay seventy-five
percent (75%) of the checking of shop drawings and
innovative/alternative investigation of Lemay Wastewater Treatment
Plant - Maintenance Building and Modifications and Addition to
Existing Incinerator and Filter Building, Contract PA-64; said
amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments
when due and payable under the terms of the contract for said
project.
Section Three. The reserved grant from the Clean Water
Commission of the State of Missouri amounts to Forty-five Thousand
Dollars ($45,000.00), which will be deposited in the Mississippi
River Construction Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent (15%) of
the checking of shop drawings and innovative/alternative
investigation of Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant - Maintenance
Building and Modifications and Addition to Existing Incinerator
and Filter Building, Contract PA-64; said amount is hereby
appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of the contract for said project.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 8, 1982.
