AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract E-360 with Sverdrup & Parcel and
Associates, Inc., for engineering services for the Step 2 design
of trunk sewers, pumping station, and force main in the Creve
Coeur Creek watershed, in St. Louis County, Missouri (Part of
Federal Project No. C-291148, Lower Missouri River Basin), with an
emergency clause.
WHEREAS, the District requires specialized consulting
assistance for said engineering services,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract E-360 with Sverdrup &
Parcel and Associates, Inc., for engineering services for the Step
2 design of trunk sewers, pumping station, and force main in the
Creve Coeur Creek watershed, in St. Louis County, Missouri (Part
of Federal Project No. C-291148, Lower Missouri River Basin).
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of
this Ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as
are approved by the Assistant Executive Director and General
Counsel of the District.
Section Three. An immediate need for the extensive
rehabilitation of sewer facilities exists in the Creve Coeur Creek
watershed, thus necessitating that the design of trunk sewers,
pumping station, and force main facilities as hereinabove
authorized proceed without delay in order to preserve the public
health. Accordingly, an emergency exists within the meaning of
the Plan, and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 20, 1982.
