HomeMy Public PortalAbout04941 O R D I N A N C E NO. 4941 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($24,000.00) from the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund of the District for the payment of overtime hours worked by employees in grades 17 through 26 of the Classified Service of the District during the recent flood emergency. WHEREAS, the recent floods of December, 1982 were very serious, and WHEREAS, the flood control facilities of the District along the Mississippi River and the River des Peres had to be manned on a 24-hour a day basis, and WHEREAS, the employees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District gave of their time, working beyond the call of duty to protect the health, welfare and property of the citizens served by the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($24,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund of the District for the payment of overtime hours worked by employees in grades 17 through 26 of the Classified Service of the District during the recent flood emergency. Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 22, 1982.
