The permit application requests authorization for water withdrawals through November 30, 2012 under the Massachusetts Water Management Act, M.G.L. c. 21G. Comments must be submitted by the close of business (5:00 pm) on Monday, December 23, 2011, to the Department of Environmental Protection, Southeast Regional Office, 20 Riverside Drive, Lakeville, MA, 02347, Attention: Leslie O'Shea, or via e-mail to leslie.oshea @state.ma.us. A copy of the application is available for review at the Department's Southeast Regional Office; please contact the Service Center at (508) 946-2718 to schedule an appointment. A copy of the application is also available for review at the Brewster Town Offices, Selectmen's Office, 2198 Main Street(Route 6A), Brewster,MA 02631,Monday through Friday, 8:30 am through 4:00 pm. • The Town of Brewster, Captains Golf Course, has applied for a WMA permit to withdraw water for golf course irrigation at 1000 Freemans Way, Brewster, Massachusetts. Captains Golf Course is currently registered and permitted (WMA registration #422041.05 and permit #9P2422041.03 ) under the Water Management Act to withdraw an average daily volume of 0.15 million gallons per day (MGD) over a 240 day irrigation season, for a total annual withdrawal volume of 36.0 million gallons per year(MGY), from two (2) authorized sources. The new permit application requests to increase the total authorized volume to 0.2125 MGD over 240 days, for a total annual withdrawal volume of 51.0 MGY, from three (3) sources. The well at the driving range would be added to the WMA permit as an additional authorized source. The driving range well has the capacity to pump 0.72 MGD and is located at latitude 41°-44'-23", longitude 70°-0'-48". The course will be required to continue to implement a water conservation plan and will also be required to implement a Seasonal Demand Management Plan to reduce water use during a Drought Advisory or greater level (i.e., Watch, Warning or Emergency) as declared by the Massachusetts Drought Management Task Force. The permit application requests authorization of two (2) proposed sources of water withdrawals through November 30, 2012 under the Massachusetts Water Management Act, M.G.L. c. 21G. Comments must be submitted by the close of business (5:00 pm) on Friday, December 30, 2011, to the Department of Environmental Protection, Southeast Regional Office, 20 Riverside Drive, Lakeville, MA, 02347, Attention: Leslie O'Shea, or via e-mail to leslie.oshea @state.ma.us. A copy of the application is available for review at the Department's Southeast Regional Office; please contact the Service Center at(508) 946-2718 to schedule an appointment. A copy of the application is also available for review at the Provincetown Department of Public Works, 26 Alden Street, Provincetown, MA, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and Friday, 7:00 am to 11:00 am. The Town of Provincetown has applied for a WMA permit to withdraw water from two new sources, North Union Field TPW-1 and North Union Field TPW-2. The proposed new sources are located in Truro, MA at latitude 42°-01'-20.64" N, longitude 70°-03'-48.05"W and latitude 42°-01'-19.58"N, longitude 70°-03'- 50.14"W,respectively. Provincetown is currently registered (WMA registration # 422242.01) under the Water Management Act to withdraw an average daily volume of 0.85 million gallons per day (MGD) for a total annual withdrawal volume of 310.25 million gallons per year (MGY). The permit application does not request any additional withdrawal volume. A WMA permit is necessary to authorize the withdrawal of water from new sources that are not included on the applicant's WMA registration.
