AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of
Six Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($610,000.00) from the
Mississippi River Construction Fund, of which Sixty-one Thousand
Dollars ($61,000.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten
percent (10%) share; a grant of Four Hundred Fifty-seven Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($457,500.00) has been received from the
Environmental Protection Agency, and Ninety-one Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($91,500.00) has been reserved by the Missouri
Department of Natural Resources for additional costs for detailed
inspection pursuant to Engineering Contract E-229, and supplement
No. 1 of Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant - Contracts PA-63 and
PA-64, in St. Louis County, Missouri, Federal Project C290640.
WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five
percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of
the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the
additional costs of said project, and
WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been
reserved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay
fifteen percent (15%) of the additional costs of said project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty-one Thousand Dollars
($61,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Mississippi River
Construction Fund to pay ten percent (10%) of additional costs
for detailed inspection pursuant to Engineering Contract E-229, and
supplement No. 1 of Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant - Contracts PA-63
and PA-64, in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Protection
Agency of the United States amounts to Four Hundred Fifty-seven
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($457,500.00), which will be deposited
in the Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay seventy-five
percent (75%) of additional costs for detailed inspection pursuant to
Engineering Contract E-229, and supplement No. 1 of Lemay Wastewater
Treatment Plant - Contracts PA-63 and PA-64, in St. Louis County,
Missouri, and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make
said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contract for
said project.
Section Three. The reserved grant from the Missouri
Department of Natural Resources amounts to Ninety-one Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($91,500.00), which will be deposited in the
Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent
(15%) of additional costs for detailed inspection pursuant to
Engineering Contract E-229, and supplement No. 1 of Lemay Wastewater
Treatment Plant - Contracts PA-63 and PA-64, in St. Louis County,
Missouri, and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make
said payments when due and payable under the terms of the contract for
said project.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
