AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with St. Louis Agency on Train-
ing and Employment (S.L.A.T.E.), pursuant to Title VI of the
Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 of the United
States of America, Department of Labor, for the receipt of federal
funds in conjunction with the Summer Youth Employment Program as
administered by St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment, for
the period of June 6, 1983 through August 12, 1983.
WHEREAS, Title VI of the Comprehensive Employment and
Training Act of 1973 will provide St. Louis Agency on Training and
Employment with federal funds for the Public Service Employment
Program, and
WHEREAS, said Act requires contracts between the
District and St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment, City of
St. Louis, Missouri, for the undertaking of said program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized to contract with St. Louis Agency
on Training and Employment, pursuant to Title VI of the
Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 of the United
States of America, Department of Labor, for the receipt of federal
funds to be used in conjunction with the Summer Youth Employment
Program as administered by St. Louis Agency on Training and
Employment for the period of June 6, 1983 through August 12, 1983.
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of
this ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as
are approved by the Director of Legal Services of the District.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 18, 1983.
