AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred
Ninety Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,490,350.00) from
the Fee Fee Connection Fees Account of which One Hundred Forty-
nine Thousand Thirty-five Dollars ($149,035.00) is to be used to
pay the District's ten percent (10%) share; a grant of One Million
One Hundred Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-three Dollars
($1,117,783.00) has been received from the Environmental
Protection Agency, and Two Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Five
Hundred Fifty-two Dollars ($223,552.00) has been reserved by the
Missouri Department of Natural Resources for Contract C-924,
Construction of Caulks Creek Phase II Force Main, Federal Project
No. C-291148-04.
WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five
percent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of
the United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of
said project, and
WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been
reserved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay
fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said project,
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty-nine
Thousand Thirty-five Dollars ($149,035.00) is hereby appropriated
from the Fee Fee Connection Fees Account to pay ten percent (10%)
of the cost for Contract C-924, Construction of Caulks Creek Phase
II Force Main, Federal project No. C-291148-04.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Protec-
tion Agency of the United States amounts to One Million One
Hundred Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-three Dollars
($1,117,783.00), which will be deposited in the Fee Fee Connection
Fees Account, and is to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost
for Contract C-924, Construction of Caulks Creek Phase II Force
Main, Federal Project C-291148-04; and said amount is hereby
appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of the contracts for said project.
Section Three. The reserved grant from the Missouri
Department of Natural Resources amounts to Two Hundred Twenty--
three Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-two Dollars ($223,552.00), which
will be deposited in the Fee Fee Connection Fees Account, and is
to pay fifteen percent (15%) of the cost for Contract C-924,
Construction of Caulks Creek Phase II Force Main, Federal project
C-291148-04; and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to
make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the
contracts for said project.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 14, 1983.
