AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of
Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) from the Mississippi
River Construction Fund of which Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($2,500.00) is to be used to pay the District's ten percent (10%)
share; a grant of Eighteen Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars
($18,750.00) has been received from the Environmental Protection
Agency, and Three Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($3,750.00)
has been reserved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources
for Contract E-289 (Engineering services to prepare a
comprehensive solids management plan for all of the ash, grit and
screenings, and other residual solids generated by the wastewater
treatment facilities of the District.), Federal Project C-291142-
01.
WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five per-
cent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the
United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of
said project, and
WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been
reserved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay
fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($2,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Mississippi
River Construction Fund to pay ten percent (10%) of the cost for
Contract E-289 (Engineering services to prepare a comprehensive
solids management plan for all of the ash, grit and screenings,

and other residual solids generated by the wastewater treatment
facilities within the District), Federal Project C-291142-01.
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Pro-
tection Agency of the United States amounts to Eighteen Thousand
Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($18,750.00), which will be deposited
in the Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay seventy-
five percent (75%) of the cost for Contract E-289 (Engineering
services to prepare a comprehensive solids management plan for all
of the ash, grit and screenings, and other residual solids
generated by the wastewater treatment facilities within the
District), Federal Project C-291142-01; and said amount is hereby
appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of the contract for said project.
Section Three. The reserved grant from the Missouri
Department of Natural Resources amounts to Three Thousand Seven
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($3,750.00), which will be deposited in the
Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent
(15%) of the cost for Contract E-289 (Engineering services to
prepare a comprehensive solids management plan for all of the ash,
grit and screenings, and other residual solids generated by the
wastewater facilities within the District), Federal Project C-
291142-01; and said amount is hereby appropriated to be used to
make said payments when due and payable under the terms of the
contract for said project.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.

The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 11, 1984.
