AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Dollars
($5,000,000.00) from the Mississippi River Construction Fund of
which Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) is to be used to
pay the District's ten percent (10%) share; a grant of Three
Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,750,000.00) has
been received from the Environmental Protection Agency, and Seven
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) has been reserved by
the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for Contracts E-229,
E-231, PA-62, PA-63, and PA-64 (Completion of secondary treatment
facilities at the Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant).
WHEREAS, the District has received a seventy-five per-
cent (75%) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency of the
United States to pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of
said project, and
WHEREAS, a fifteen percent (15%) grant has been
reserved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to pay
fifteen percent (15%) of the cost of said project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Mississippi River
Construction Fund to pay ten percent (10%) of the cost for
Contracts E-229, E-231, PA-62, PA-63, and PA-64 (Completion of
secondary treatment facilities at the Lemay Wastewater Treatment
Plant).
Section Two. The grant from the Environmental Pro-
tection Agency of the United States amounts to Three Million Seven
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,750,000.00), which will be
deposited in the Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to
pay seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost for Contracts E-229, E-
231, PA-62, PA-63, and PA-64 (Completion of secondary treatment
facilities at the Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant); and said
amount is hereby appropriated to be used to make said payments
when due and payable under the terms of the contracts for said
project.
Section Three. The reserved grant from the Missouri
Department of Natural Resources amounts to Seven Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00), which will be deposited in the
Mississippi River Construction Fund, and is to pay fifteen percent
(15%) of the cost for Contracts E-229, E-231, PA-62, PA-63, and
PA-64 (Completion of secondary treatment facilities at the Lemay
Wastewater Treatment Plant); and said amount is hereby
appropriated to be used to make said payments when due and payable
under the terms of the contracts for said project.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 11, 1984.
